Six Nations Police responded to an address on Bateman Line in relation to an alleged shooting complaint at approximately 7:05 a.m. on May 28, 2024.

Police later located two suspects in the alleged shooting at an address on Seneca Road, both were arrested and taken into police custody without incident.

On May 29, 2024, Six Nations Police executed Section 487 Search Warrants on a mobile trailer located on Seneca Road including two motor vehicles. A search resulted in the seizure of a handgun loaded with ammunition, large quantity of fentanyl with a street value of approximately $50,000. In addition, police seized digital scales, weapons, drug packaging materials, firearm ammunition and cell  phones.  

As a result of the investigation, Darrell Glen Porter Jr. (32 years old) of Ohsweken, ON, has been charged with the following criminal offences: 

– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking: Fentanyl 

– Firearm or Weapon: Possession Contrary to Prohibition Order X2 – Firearm: Pointing 

– Discharging Firearm with Intent 

– Firearm, Weapon, Ammunition: Careless Use X3 

– Firearm: Unauthorized Possession 

– Firearm: Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession  

– Firearm in Motor Vehicle 

– Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition 

– Weapon Possession for Dangerous Purpose 

– Intimidation 

– Weapon: Unauthorized Possession 

– Assault with a Weapon

Brandy Rachelle Simon (47 years old) of Ohsweken, ON, has been charged with the following criminal offences: 

– Dangerous Driving 

– Mischief Under $5000 

– Firearm, Weapon, Ammunition: Careless Use X2 

– Firearm: Unauthorized Possession 

– Firearm: Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession  

– Firearm in Motor Vehicle 

– Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition 

– Weapon Possession for Dangerous Purpose 

Both Porter and Simon were held for formal bail hearings and later remanded into police custody.
