CrimeOhsweken woman facing Impaired Driving charges

Impaired charges have been laid after police responded to a report of a motor vehicle in the ditch on Seneca Road.

Six Nations Police attended the area and observed a single motor vehicle in the ditch at approximately 10:55 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

Officers observed a female in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The female was uninjured and minimal damages to the vehicle were observed. It appeared that the vehicle has missed the laneway it was attempting to pull in to. The driver advised that she had consumed alcohol that evening. Police issued the female an Approved Screening Device Demand to determine her sobriety.

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Juliana  SWIDER (27 years old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following criminal offences:

– Impaired Operation

– Alcohol per se Offence

The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the accused had her driver’s licence suspended for 90 days. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on a later date.
