An Ohsweken resident has been arrested and charged with multiple offences.
Six Nations Police were advised of a traffic complaint in the village of Ohsweken at approximately 3:34 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
The information provided by the caller stated that a motor vehicle was driving erratically. A description of the vehicle and the plate number were provided to police. Officers attended the area and observed a vehicle matching the description in the parking lot of a business at the intersection of Fourth Line and Chiefswood Road.
A traffic stop was conducted, and police spoke with the female driver of the vehicle. Signs of impairment were observed. It was later determined that the plate on the vehicle had been reported stolen to police and the female was breaching conditions of a previous release. While in custody, the female refused to provide a sample of her breath when officers attempted to conduct a breath test.
As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Keri-Lynne Greene-Skye (36-years-old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following criminal offences:
– Dangerous Driving
– Impaired Operation
– Failure or Refusal to Comply
– Possession under $5,000
– Breach of Recognizance x 2
– Operation while Prohibited
The accused was held in custody pending a formal bail hearing. The accused was later released with a future court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario. The vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
