Police charge 18-year-old after collision with elementary school

A local elementary school sustained significant damages after a vehicle collided with the building.  

Six Nations Police were advised of a single motor vehicle collision at a local elementary school on Six Nations at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

The officers were advised that a vehicle had struck the side of the building, causing significant damages. When officers attended the scene, there was no one located with the vehicle. Throughout the investigation a male suspect was identified.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Matthew Porter (18-years-old) from Ohsweken, Ontario with the following offences:

– Mischief under $5,000  

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on January 24, 2025.
