On Saturday October 22, 2022, at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a report of an assault in the area of Market Street.

A report was received to advise a man leaving a Market Street establishment was allegedly confronted and assaulted by another man. The accused and the victim were known to each other.

The 23-year-old victim suffered minor physical injuries and declined medical attention.

As a result, the accused, a 27-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with Assault, contrary to the Criminal Code.
