Residents from across the region to head to the polls

Residents from across the region, including the County of Brant, Six Nations of the Grand River, City of Brantford and Oxford, will be heading to the polls on Election Night, Monday, April 28, 2025.

Prime Minister Mark Carney called for the snap election less than a month ago and now Canadians will have the chance to elect a new Prime Minister, as well as Members of Parliament from across the country.

The Brant Beacon will follow our three ridings on Election Night, which include: Brantford-Brant South-Six Nations, Flamborough-Glanbrook-Brant North, and Oxford. The following are the candidates running in each of the ridings:

Candidates for Brantford-Brant South-Six Nations (incumbent in bold):

Joy O’Donnell – Liberal Party

Larry Brock – Progressive Conservative Party

Karleigh Csordas – Green Party

Nicholas Xenos – People’s Party

Anne Gajerski-Cauley – New Democratic Party

Candidates for Flamborough-Glanbrook-Brant North (incumbent in bold):

Chuck Phillips – Liberal Party

Dan Muys – Progressive Conservative Party
