Six Nations Police arrest person after traffic stop

Members of the Six Nations Police have arrested and charged an individual after observing a driver fail to stop at the intersection of  Onondaga Road and Fifth Line Road.  

While a member of the Six Nations Police service was on general patrol, the officer observed a motor vehicle fail to stop at the intersection at approximately 10:05 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

The officer began to follow behind the  vehicle and observed the vehicle to be driving erratically. The officer activated their emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle pulled into a private residence. The officer approached the vehicle and observed the male  driver to show signs of impairment.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Kenneth ANDERSON (46 years old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following criminal offences: – Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence 

– Dangerous Driving  

The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the accused had his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court  of Justice on a later date.
