Charges have been laid against an impaired driver after he was observed driving in the opposite lane.  

Members of the Six Nations Police were on general patrol when they observed a vehicle cross the centre line on Tuscarora Road at approximately 2:05 a.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Police continued to observe the vehicle driving  erratically. The officer successfully initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle. The officer  approached the lone male driver to advise the reason for the stop. Signs of impairment were observed on the male. The male was cooperative with police.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Eldon Hill (24 -years-old) of Ohsweken, Ontario with the following offences: 

– Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus” 

– Dangerous Driving  

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on December 12, 2024. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the accused had his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.
