An Ohsweken resident has been charged with multiple offences after a single motor vehicle collision involving a hydro pole.
Officers with the Six Nations Police, along with the Six Nations Fire and Emergency Medical Services, responded to a motor vehicle collision on 2nd Line Road at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024.
A lone male was being assessed by paramedics when officers arrived on scene. The male advised police that he was not driving the motor vehicle at the time of the collision. A witness on scene was able to identify the lone male as the driver of the motor vehicle. A precautionary search of the area was conducted to ensure no other individuals were involved. The lone male displayed signs of impairment. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage along with minor damage to the hydro pole.
As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged, Dice WYTHE (30-years-old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following criminal offences:
– Impaired Operation
– Obstruct Peace Officer
– Dangerous Driving
– Operation while Prohibited
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on September 20, 2024.
