A Six Nations resident has been charged with multiple offences after an anonymous caller advised police of a vehicle in the ditch.
Six Nations Police were advised of a motor vehicle in the ditch on Second Line at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025.
It appeared that the vehicle had been backed into the ditch. Police located the vehicle and spoke to the lone female driver. Upon speaking with the female, signs of impairment were observed. The female was placed under arrest and was transported to another local police service to conduct a breath test.
As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Myka Burning (44-years-old) of Ohsweken, with the following criminal offences:
– Impaired Operation
– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus”
– Operation while Prohibited
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on March 13, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days.
