Snobelen Farms Ltd. announced the completion of significant upgrades to its grain handling facility in Brantford on Friday, September 20, 2024.

The $2 million investment in new equipment and technology enhances the company’s ability to provide fast, reliable and efficient service to valued growers.

“Snobelen Farms is dedicated to serving our growers with the highest level of service. These upgrades reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and customer  satisfaction,” said Troy Tate, location manager of the Brantford facility.

Upgrades include:

• A brand-new commercial receiving pit, drag and elevator system, all with a 16,000 bushel takeaway capacity. This modern equipment replaces the previous system, making it two and a half times faster.

• New downspouts, allowing all wet grain storage tanks to be filled at full capacity.

• To further optimize efficiency, Snobelen Farms integrated the new grain handling equipment into its existing automation system. This integration streamlines operations and ensures a smooth flow of grain throughout the facility.

• A complete overhaul of the second commercial receiving pit and elevator. The top half of the elevator was dismantled and rebuilt, incorporating a fully automated turn head and new downspouts to enhance takeaway speed and efficiency.

Snobelen Farms is committed to providing exceptional customer service. With new, more efficient equipment and increased capacity, growers can expect reduced wait times and more flexibility in scheduling deliveries, accommodating their specific needs.
