YMCA to re-locate services to Laurier Brantford YMCA

Local NewsYMCA to re-locate services to Laurier Brantford YMCA

The YMCA will be moving their Immigrant Services programs, currently located at 38 Darling Street, to the Laurier Brantford YMCA effective May 16, 2022.

The change will help ensure newcomers to the Brantford community are better connected with core resources to support their families’ well-being including programming for children, youth, families and seniors offered at the Laurier Brantford YMCA.

YMCA Immigrant Services will be located on Level 4, Laurier Brantford YMCA with office appointments available from Monday-Thursday, 8:30-4:30pm. Virtual appointments continue to be available for those requiring remote service during regular business hours Monday through Friday.

“Our vision for the Laurier Brantford YMCA has always been to build a Centre of Community to support people of all backgrounds and abilities in Brantford’s downtown core, particularly some of our most vulnerable and marginalized neighbours,” said Nicki Glowacki, Chief Operating Officer. “Bringing services together under one roof is one of the key ways we break down barriers to access. We’re delighted to see more programs and services flourish out of the Laurier Brantford YMCA.”

As part of the co-location of YMCA services into the Laurier Brantford YMCA, the YMCA will also be moving administrative offices for their Brantford-based child care services into the building.
